Internet dating is risky to be sure but every now and then something good happens. I've know of more than one success story.
At my last newspaper one of my first articles was about a young couple who met online, were dating two weeks later, and got married about six months after that. Both were "normal" by all accounts, both were well educated, and gainfully employed. Both were considered cautious personalities by their friends. And yet this worked for them. Last I checked they were still happily married.
